Mahli, a seven-year-old second-grader at the Hillsborough Academy of Math and Science, completed the Knowledge of Sounds and Letters Checklist on October 1st, 2015. Mahli scored 29/29 for labeling letters and 29/29 for letter sounds. The results indicate that Mahli is proficient with letters and sounds. It appears that Mahli is on grade level for letters and sounds.

 

To help Mahli maintain and increase her letter sounds, her teacher can provide further phonics instruction with different blends, consonant digraphs, and long/short vowel sounds.
