Mahli a seven-year-old second grader at Hillsborough Academy of Math and Science, completed the Fluency Accuracy and Automaticity Assessment on October 17th, 2015. Mahli earned a raw score of 49/51 or 96%. These results indicate that Mahli is on instructional reading level, because she scored over a 95%.

To improve Mahli’s reading fluency, Mahli should be given multiple opportunities to practice her reading. In addition, the teacher should create a word wall with high frequency words to increase vocabulary and fluency.
